Early MMR measles, mumps, and rubella is given to children 6 months old but less than 12 months old. The public health centre will not give early MMR. We will give MMR at a cost of $48. Then you travel, and the child is protected for the trip. At 12 months old the child must get the routine vaccine MMR again.
If travelling to Africa or Central and South America the child is booked after they are 9 months old.
Public Health Centre routine appointment must be 4 weeks apart from the travel appointment for Africa or Central and South American countries.
All children 12 months and older can receive travel vaccines.
