We are aware of the comments left on Google. We have seen an increase in negative comments recently. The average is one per month. There was a time when we had a handful of reviews. One or two were scathing, but we did have a good review or two. Also, in the last year complaints to patient relations have increased. People are displeased. Unfortunately, we make errors. Protocols are in place to report the errors. We are Alberta Health Services and accountable to the public. According to the AHS website:

Our Values. Our five values – compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety – are at the heart of everything that we do. They inspire, empower, and guide how we work together with patients, clients, families, and each other.

At times we appear to have left these values in the dust. We have existed for decades, and the clinic will remain open for years. Plus, staff turnover is low. Therefore, the receptionist or booking agent is loyal. The clinic is a slow adopter. No online booking is available. No reminder texts here. Walk-ins are NOT welcome we work by appointment only. We are under new management. Optimism is growing for improvements and fewer "1-star, but I wish I could give 0-star" reviews. At one time pharmacies and private travel clinics were not an option for Edmontonians. Now they are the competition. Competition is good for the ever-growing community. Despite all of the poor feedback, we remain busy. Travel is expensive. Going to school is costly. Travel vaccines are dear. We thank all our clients for your business.

The best way to launch a complaint is with Patient Relations at 780-342-8080. We also have comment cards in the waiting room for clients to complete. Of course, the internet is forever.
